If you are looking for an original DIY gift that children can make, maybe our article inspires you. We created a pencil holder like sponges from rolls of toilet paper. In this article you will find a tip for amazing creation.
What we made
We created a pencil holder made of toilet paper rolls. The rolls are decorated like mushrooms. We made the base (grass) from the rest of the box.
Suitable for: 3+ years old
This craft is suitable for children from three years and older.
What you need
- Toilet paper rolls
- Blank white paper
- Color papers
- Temperas or watercolours (not necessarily – you can use color papers)
- Adhesive tape
How to do it
I cut the mushroom caps from paper. We needed two hats for each mushroom. I cut the circle from paper and glued it to the bottom of toilet paper rolls.
The children color the hats with temperas from both sides. They made white dots on the toadstool. After drying I wrapped caps in transparent adhesive film.
I divided the white paper into three parts. Martin wrapped toilet paper rolls into. Filip glued a green piece paper on cardboard like green grass.
Finally, I put caps on the rolls. Unfortunately, we lacked a stapler at home, which could be easily attached to the rollers.
I wish you a lot of fun. 🙂
